WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS IN LOVE

GREENVILLE, SC & BEYOND

Lavender Outdoor Vineyard Wedding Cameron & Chelsea | Long Creek, SC

With Mother’s Day just a few short weeks ago, we just celebrated the deep impact our mothers have on our lives. This past Saturday, we got to see an amazing tribute to that fact in action. It was a moment that had us hiding our watering eyes behind our cameras so no one would see. Here’s there story:

We were photographing Chelsea and her mom putting the finishing touches on Chelsea’s gorgeous wedding dress. It was the most important day of Chelsea’s life. Chelsea, her mom and the two of us were the only four people in the room. We were clicking away as it was time for Chelsea to put on her gold, sparkling heels. As Mom helped Chelsea put on her shoes, Mom said this:

“Not so long ago I was putting on your little velcro shoes. You would always say, ‘No mommy, I can do it.’ And then you would put them on the wrong feet and I had to fix them. And now…here we are. You…really don’t need my help anymore…”

If that’s not the love of a mother, we don’t know what is! Cue the tears! And we can tell you just from knowing Chelsea for a year that she is a strong, independent woman. She’s got herself together! And Cameron is a perfect match for her, because he’s got his stuff together too! He’s such a great guy and we know he will be an amazing husband to Chelsea! And as if that wasn’t enough of a tear jerker, we were talking to mom later about how much we loved what she had said about the shoes. And without missing a beat she said this:

“When you bring your child home from the hospital they tell you how to take care of them, but they don’t tell you how to let go.”

Man oh man. She’s a quote factory!!!

Well, we don’t have kids yet but we imagine it is quite difficult to let go of that once-bundle-of-joy you raised. But let us be probably not the first to say to Chelsea’s mom, Elizabeth, that you did a fabulous job! Chelsea is a wonderful woman!

And Cameron & Chelsea’s wedding was so perfect! An outdoor vineyard setting and a gorgeous couple. We couldn’t ask for more! Cameron, Chelsea, we have loved every second with you two. To say we were honored to be a part of your day would be an understatement. We love you both and we know you are going to enjoy this “story” of your wedding day!
