Traveling. When we use that word at home, we’re talking about getting on a plane, in a car, on a boat or really any other form of transportation for the purpose of relocating to a new place temporarily. We have done quite a bit of it since we’ve been married. We went on a 7-night European cruise for our honeymoon! Ryan had never been on a cruise or out of the country, so we took care of both of those in one shot. And it’s not lost on us that after only 7 days of marriage, we had traveled at that point more than a lot of people ever get to travel! And we are so grateful.

Well, one of us absolutely loves traveling. She (hint hint) can’t get enough of it! He, on the other hand has a different perspective. Ryan’s idea of a wonderful day is 18 holes on the golf course and a bowl of ice cream on the couch watching Netflix. He is a total homebody and he likes it that way! But, as they say, opposites attract. Alyssa would go on a trip 10 minutes from now if she could pack fast enough! And thankfully for her, she gets her fair share of traveling, including our 5-year Anniversary trip to Paris in March!

Alyssa also got her wish when Caleb & Kimberlee sat on our couch and asked us to be the photographers for their wedding up in Pennsylvania! Their wedding was last weekend and it was amazing! Check that out here. But that wasn’t the only time we would bring out our cameras on that trip. As we headed down the East coast towards our dear South Carolina, we made a quick stop in Norfolk, Virginia for Chris & Christina’s engagement session! We had only ever met them over Skype, so we were looking forward to seeing them in person for a loooong time! And even though rain threatened to derail our plans once again (when was the last time it didn’t?! We’re kind of getting used to it!), the weather was every bit perfect. *Praise Hands!*

Chris & Christina were so amazing. We loved hearing Christina squeal with delight every time Alyssa showed her the back the camera! We started in an expansive garden (in full bloom!) and ended on the quaint cobblestone streets of Downtown Norfolk with Elizabeth River sitting calmly in the background. It couldn’t have been more perfect, especially with these two (who, we swear were models in another life!)!
