Early Spring Lace House Wedding Philippe & Amy | Columbia, SC

During hair & makeup (with the fabulous Katie of Cotton Rouge), Amy pulled Ryan aside. He had been going through the timeline with her and touching base on any last minute additions, and Amy had something to add. She told Ryan, “The photo of Philippe & I with you and Alyssa is one of our favorites from the engagement session. We’d like to make sure we get that photo again today!”

Cue the happy, overwhelmed emotional tears! We’re not always great at remembering to get photos with our couples at sessions or at weddings. There’s typically so much happening, and we’re having too much fun, that we don’t think about it until a) they ask or b) we get in the car to go home! But the fact that Amy & Philippe made a point to make it a priority says more about them than us. They genuinely love people. If you read their engagement session blog post, you know that they’re both civil servants – Philippe a law enforcement officer, and Amy a lawyer for the state, dealing with family law. Their daily lives revolves around loving and serving people. And that spills over into their personal lives!

Philippe & Amy gave us a gift as they were leaving their reception, and included was that framed photo of the four of us from their engagement session. We will cherish it always! We love our couples, as they’re family to us, and to spend our days with people that love us just as much as we love them is the most rewarding part of our job.

Mr & Mrs Boss, we’re so sad that your wedding has come and gone, but we’re OVERJOYED that you get to experience the very best life has to offer with each other. We hope you get to relive every moment from your perfect day!
