Gorgeous Intimate Family Home Wedding Evans & Emily | Travelers Rest, SC

We first sat down with these two in March of 2019. Such a sweet couple, perfectly matched personalities, and had the wonderful team of Katie Williams Events to plan their wedding day. They booked our associate photographer, Savannah, to be alongside them during this experience, and it has been a joy the last year being a part of this journey!

Then COVID-19 happened. And within 1 week of their proposed wedding day, Evans & Emily had to make some difficult decisions in light of the federal and state mandates. They chose to get married on Friday, March 20th, with their families at Emily’s mom’s home. They had a beautifully intimate ceremony facing the golf course, and the sun even peaked out as they exchanged personalized vows. To see Evans & Emily face this adversity, embrace it, and choose to focus on the most important thing – their marriage, was a breath of fresh air. We know it was a stressful week trying to decide what to do. As mandates kept changing, and plans were uncertain, Evans & Emily knew that no matter what happened, they were getting married. And that’s all that mattered.

Thank you, Evans & Emily, for entrusting us with this. We’re so proud of you two and how you’ve handled adjusting all of your plans, your visions for your celebration, and your expectations. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of the start of your marriage. It was a joy to witness. We will never forget this day! And here’s to October! We know it’s going to be one special celebration this fall!
