Jerry & Haley | Greenville Engagement

Jerry’s hands were starting to sweat a little bit as he gripped the steering wheel. It was the weekend of the big Clemson/USC game but that was the furthest thing from his mind. Haley was in the passenger seat, fast asleep. Maybe she just wasn’t as excited about the exclusive tour of Memorial Stadium as he was. But it had been a long week. Haley’s family was in town for Thanksgiving and that was always a fun time. She was probably just exhausted. Jerry ran through the plan in his head one last time before they pulled up to the stadium.

Haley got out of the car and ran up to say hi to their 6 close friends who were taking the tour with them. As they started the tour, Jerry & Haley found themselves at the front of the group. Eventually the tour led all of them out onto the field. Haley took out her phone to take a quick video of the scene, not noticing that her 6 friends had stepped off of the field leaving only her and Jerry.

“Haley, can you believe we both went to Clemson for 4 years and never met? We were probably sitting in the same section of this stadium – even a few seats away – and never even knew it!”

“I know! That’s crazy!” Haley said as she hugged Jerry.

Jerry began sharing some of the things he loved about Haley and took her by the hands. It was only then that Haley really began to realize the magnitude of the situation. She thought they had discussed waiting until after the typical holiday season to get engaged. But Jerry had it all planned out. She could forgive him this time.

As he knelt to ask Haley to be his wife, Jerry knew that the girl he had been waiting for would be his forever. It was the best early Christmas present he could ever ask for.

We danced around the never-ending rain in Greenville and made this engagement session happen. And we are SO glad we could.
