John & Erin Spring Park Engagement Greenville, SC

They met their senior year at Clemson, but graduated as just friends. They went their separate ways, him to Charlotte, her to Atlanta, but they kept in touch. A few years later, John found himself living in Atlanta for his job, and reconnected with Erin. They had a few dates, and John hasn’t let her go since!

Originally John’s plan was to head up to DC during spring break so he could pick out the perfect ring, unbeknown to Erin. But then he got stuck in Greenville, as that coincided with the start of the lockdowns, and he ended up buying a ring online! John had ordered flowers, coordinated with a photographer, and planned out every detail with their friends, but there was one hiccup. The ring was not going to be delivered on time. Cue the anxiety we’re all feeling for John in this moment!! Thankfully, the company was able to locate the ring and overnight it from Seattle for the big day, and it arrived the morning of the proposal. Talk about timing!

They returned to Clemson where they first met, and John had a picnic planned for them and their dog. And right in front of the Clock Tower, John asked Erin to marry him, and she said yes! So it was all worth it in the end!
