Ben & Kelly Downtown Historic Charleston Engagement Charleston, SC

Ben & Kelly did the long distance game for 4 years. And 2 months before Kelly made the move to Charleston, Ben procured the most beautiful and stunning ring for her as he made plans to propose. Kelly’s family had planned to spend a week at Kiawah Island in August, and the invitation had been extended to Ben to join them for a few dinners during their week there. Ben knew this was going to be the big moment. He asked Kelly’s dad for his blessing in July, and the two of them managed to keep this huge secret from everyone else ahead of the trip!

On one of those evenings as they headed to dinner, Ben asked Kelly to go out and take a few pictures. Kelly might have been a little suspicious, but she willingly said yes. Little did she know she was about to say the best yes!! They posed for a photo, and Ben dropped down on one knee in front the Ocean Course Clubhouse and Kelly said yes! Everyone else was absolutely shocked and overjoyed that Ben and Kelly’s dad managed to pull off the big surprise!

We traveled down to the coast that’s now become home for Ben & Kelly for their engagement session, and loved exploring parts of historic Charleston with them. We even got to meet their cute pup Jeter (and Kelly’s Mom!) during our time together! Ben & Kelly, you two are the sweetest and we loved our time with you! Next spring is going to be absolutely amazing! We cannot wait!
