Friends, we have an incredible wedding post for you today!
Back in May, we shared about our 3 wedding weekend. Well last weekend, we had the pleasure of taking part in another 3-day weekend, but it was ONE wedding! It was an incredible 3-day Indian wedding full of colors, activities, fellowship, tradition, and celebration.
We began Thursday with our gorgeous bride Payal and her family while they took part in the Mehndi ceremony. This is when the bride and her family and closest friends decorate their hands and feet with absolutely stunning henna designs, all done by incredibly talented ladies, all by hand! The detail and precision of these designs is truly amazing! And Alyssa was even invited to take part of this as well! Some behind-the-scenes of her henna design might make an appearance in a later behind-the-scenes post. Keep an eye out!
Friday morning begins with a religious ceremony for the bride and her family, while Friday evening wraps up with lots of food, fellowship, and in this case, an incredibly talented night of music! This runs late into the night, celebrating the upcoming nuptials of the bride and groom.
We started Saturday morning with lots of Starbucks, and photographing so much gorgeous color and details at the Hyatt Recency Hotel downtown! While Payal and her family prepared for the morning activities, Ameesh and his family were getting ready as well. After a few portraits, everyone prepared for the Baraat, the official exuberant entrance of the groom and his family! They had a police escort that started outside Roost and ended at the Valet entrance of the Hyatt. The groom’s family danced, clapped and laughed through the music that proceeded Ameesh, who was riding in a canary yellow Corvette convertible. Talk about an entrance! Ameesh and his family were then greeted by Payal’s family at the Hyatt’s entrance, dancing all the while! Payal came to greet her soon-to-be husband with a garland, then went back up to her room to change into her wedding sari, a gift from her in-laws. Then the ceremony itself (guys, they even serve ice cream halfway through the ceremony!), followed by an evening of celebration!
Ameesh & Payal, we have been so honored to be part of your incredible wedding weekend! Thank you for choosing us to be a part of it all – we’re thrilled for you two and your families! Enjoy this little preview of what’s to come soon!
