Blue Toile Baby Girl Newborn Session in Downtown Greenville Greenville, SC

You might remember these faces from a few months ago, when we did Tyler & Michelle’s maternity session in downtown Greenville. And now we’re back with a look at their sweet newborn baby girl, Claire, at her in home lifestyle newborn session! I can’t get enough of her beautiful room, the blue toile details, and this most perfect baby girl that slept basically the entire time I was there! I admit I teared up watching these two love on their baby girl, and I know you’ll feel the same as you scroll through their newborn session.

Being invited in our couples’ homes, during such a sacred and emotional time, is a feeling I’m not sure we can adequately describe. It’s this feeling of being like family, feeling loved and treasured, and reverently walking into a space where people are vulnerable, emotional. That weighs on you in the best way. Our couples are like our extended family. We get to do life alongside them, sometimes the same season of life, and we cherish every single second of it. Someone recently asked me why. Why is photography so important to us. Why is it not just a job? Because of moments like these right here. Being invited into a space that’s reserved for family and friends that feel like family. Celebrating the high moments, and being let in on the low moments. Sharing in the emotions of what our couples are currently going through. Whether it’s the nerves leading up to the proposal, the wedding day excitement, the jitters of becoming first time parents, or the overwhelming love of seeing their hearts walk outside their body in the form of a little person. It’s because we get to be the ones who document these moments for their future kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. 25 years from now, they might not remember our names but they will forever remember just how much they were loved, how they felt, and be able to relive these moments. That’s why. For moments like these.
