Chris & Sophia Proposal at The Loft at Soby’s Downtown Greenville Greenville, SC

The phone rang on Tuesday morning. It was Chris, who decided spur of the moment to change his original plans, and instead, propose to his sweet girlfriend, Sophia, during their impromptu weekend away in Greenville. You see, downtown Greenville is where they first met 2 years ago, the scene of their first date, and the city where their story began. He wanted to make this weekend an unforgettable one, and we enthusiastically jumped on board to help him pull together the perfect plan to ask Sophia to marry him. With the help of Toujours Events and the fabulous team at The Loft at Soby’s, Chris planned the most perfect moment. After exploring a few places right on Main Street, Chris led Sophia down a side street that “looked interesting”. He pointed out the open door past Soby’s and told Sophia they should check it out. Sophia hesitated but Chris seemed so certain it would be fine, so she went along with it. They entered the building, and started up the stairs. She noted the rose petals on the steps and immediately grew concerned that they were in the wrong place. Chris reassured her to keep going, and when they reached the top of the stairs, and she both saw the setup, and heard the song “Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World” and she knew. Chris led her out onto the rooftop, got down on one knee, and asked the love of his life to marry him.

And Sophia said yes! The stunning views of the heart of Main Street and historic buildings, the beautiful florals that perfectly framed Chris & Sophia, and the most stunning now bride-to-be all framed on the cusp of sunset – seriously a picture perfect evening. Chris & Sophia, to share in your joy was the highlight of our weekend! We are so thrilled for you both as you plan for one of life’s greatest blessings and adventure, marriage!
