Downtown Greenville Surprise Proposal

Every good story involves camp. And Chad & Rachel’s love story is no different! They met at camp after they were assigned as brother and sister counselors for the summer! When they had weekends free from camp duties, these two would travel to Greenville and hang out downtown at their favorite bench overlooking Reedy River and the Falls. It’s where they had a chance to retreat into their own little world, and where Chad realized Rachel was the one.

Chad reached out to us about his plans to ask Rachel to begin forever with him. And we couldn’t have been more excited to be a part of their story! They made the drive down from Washington, D.C. Tuesday morning – Chad had Rachel thinking they were visiting close friends who had just found out they were expecting! Said friends played along quite convincingly – they even texted pictures of baby clothes to Rachel! Thinking their friends were late for their get-together, Chad convinced Rachel to visit their bench in Falls Park for old time’s sake.

They made their way to the bench (which we had heavily guarded by the way!) and you could just see joy radiating from these two! As we covertly watched from our posts, we managed to sneak in a few quiet moments these two had before Chad popped the question. We work pretty well in stealth mode!

Chad convinced Rachel to jump up and carve their names above their bench, and while she laughed at his insistence, he slowly dropped down to one knee. You can just see Rachel’s face as she started to comprehend what was about to happen… and as disbelief gave way to tears… as the man of her dreams asked her to spend forever by his side.

And we had time to squeeze in a few pictures of the two of them together! Chad & Rachel, thank you so much for making us a part of your story! We’re so thrilled for you both and we hope you love these images as much as we do!
