Gold Westin Poinsett Wedding with Rooftop First Look Matt & KayLeigh | Greenville, SC

Let’s say this right off the bat. Kayleigh has an affinity for rooftops. We learned this very early on when we asked her and Matt about a location for their engagement session. Guess where we ended up? A rooftop! And it was gorgeous!

So fast forward to their wedding day this past weekend. Matt & Kayleigh got married at The Westin Poinsett in Downtown Greenville, which has a rooftop that is to die for and fits our light, airy style perfectly! We knew Kayleigh would just love to have some photos up there. But, as it always seems to go, we needed the weather to cooperate. And it did! We woke up on Saturday morning and the rain was scheduled to arrive right in the middle of Matt & Kayleigh’s first look. Oh no! So we quickly called Bri with Upstate I Do to see if she thought Kayleigh would be willing to move up the timeline by an hour and a half!!! And whether by Bri’s charm and poise, by Kayleigh and her mom’s amazing attitudes or a little bit of both, it happened! And guess what? We beat the rain and it was perfection.

Matt & Kayleigh, along with both of their families, are some of the nicest people we’ve ever met. We could’ve asked Matt for his tuxedo jacket and he would’ve given it to us – on his wedding day! As another example, when Ryan took Matt up to the roof for the first look, Ryan suddenly got a nosebleed. What?! Worst timing ever, right?! And when all was said and done with the first look, Matt & Kayleigh were more concerned about Ryan than anything else. Again, people, this is their wedding day! So, like we said – nicest people we’ve ever met.
