We know that getting in front of the camera isn’t the easiest thing. Whether due to nervousness, uncertainty of what it’s going to be like, or the simple fact that pictures aren’t your most favorite thing (we see you, and it’s okay!), we hear all sorts of things when our couples plan for and then arrive at their engagement session. And we totally get it! Even though we prep our couples with a fabulous Engagement Guide on what to expect and how to plan, there’s a little tinge of “ahhhh-I’m-nervous-I-hope-we-look-amazing-and-do-well” feelings in the back of everyone’s mind when they show up.

We actually enjoy putting our couples at ease within the first few minutes. That’s why we LOVE being a husband and wife team. We have the benefit very few photographers in our area have – as a couple, we’re spending time with another couple (like a double date!), making THEM feel less on display and more relaxed. Ryan instantly wins over the guys (if we haven’t already!), and instead of trying to describe what we want our couples to do, we take the time to show them. That does two things – one, it shows our couples that it’s simple and straightforward, and two, it shows them that if we look good doing it, they will too!

If Jimmy & Megan had some of those feelings, they didn’t let them show too much! We had an amazing time at Hotel Domestique, where they’ll get married next May. As you’ll see below, they’re a stunning couple who look effortlessly perfect, and we’re so excited to do this all over again (with Katie of Katie Williams Events!) next Spring! We love you two, Jimmy & Megan, and we hope you love these!
