We walked through the door to room 323 at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Downtown Greenville and were immediately greeted by at least a dozen faces smiling from ear to ear as if they were having the time of their lives. It just so happens that those dozens or so faces were Cassie, her bridesmaids and a few other important people to her on her wedding day. It also happens that they actually were having the time of their lives celebrating the biggest day of Cassie and Kevin’s lives!
That was the story all day long. A cast of characters from family and friends to coworkers and classmates eager to be a part of something so special to Kevin & Cassie. It occurred to us later, long after the band had packed up their equipment and the lights of The Old Cigar Warehouse were shut down for the night, that we have rarely seen such a strong show of support for one of our brides and grooms. Yes, we have seen the wonderful love of families and we have seen amazingly supportive wedding parties. But this day was different. It was like 200 people put aside their wants and desires for the day and put 100% of their energy into making July 3rd, 2015 the kind of day that Kevin & Cassie could look back on in 30 years and remember as the best day of their lives!
We were so excited to be there and be a small part of the wedding! Everything was absolutely gorgeous and the rain held off for us at just the right times! And we would be remiss if we didn’t give a little shoutout to Kevin & Cassie’s reception. Terry & The G.T’s kept the party going at one of the loudest receptions we have ever witnessed! At the end of the night, no one was even ready to leave. All good things must come to an end, but we know Kevin & Cassie’s friends will remember the reception as a highlight of what was a fantastic day!
Kevin, Cassie…we love you guys! Cassie, we have loved you from the moment you and your mom scared us to death by showing up 30 minutes early for your consultation with us and we had to act like we were ready! We thought we would never get your wedding but we are SOO glad we did. And Kevin, we have loved you ever since we first met you at the engagement session and laughed together til our cheeks hurt. We were privileged to share your wedding day with you and we hope you guys sit down together and relive your day through this little preview!
