Navy & Neutrals Intimate Boston Wedding Jared & Rachel | Boston, MA

Last weekend we headed up to Boston for Jared & Rachel’s special intimate wedding! For those who are just meeting these two amazing people, you will never know what went into the process of making this wedding happen. But here’s a little bit behind the scenes so you can appreciate it more.

The first time we got to meet Jared and Rachel in person was at their engagement session. We connected with them immediately and we had so much fun! Shortly after their session, we got an email that made us so sad! Rachel told us that their parents had just sold their house on Lake Keowee that had been on the market for years. Great news right? Well, yes. Except that it was also Jared & Rachel’s wedding venue! Ahhh! So the search was on for a new venue. After some searching, they decided to have a small family-only wedding up in Boston, since they live in the area. Seems simple enough except that they had their whole wedding planned out, vendors and all! So they had to start all over again. We can only imagine the stress. In all of this craziness, we are so thankful that Jared & Rachel chose to have us come up to Boston and photograph their newly-planned wedding!

It’s like they planned this from the beginning. Jared & Rachel were getting married in the exact same city in which Rachel’s parents eloped decades before. Rachel even wore her mother’s original wedding band, purchased in Boston, an heirloom representing her parent’s legacy, love and commitment. The arboretum where they exchanged their vows holds special significance for Jared & Rachel, as it’s a place they’ve enjoyed exploring together.

After all of the changes, we can’t imagine Jared & Rachel’s wedding being any more perfect than it turned out to be. Beautiful Boston Harbor. Gorgeous Arnold Arboretum. And the incredible Boston Harbor Hotel. All perfect locations to showcase their love with their closest family surrounding them! Enjoy this little preview of their day!
