There’s nothing we love more than a black tie wedding, especially in the spring. The classic, romantic vibes, the formal attire and guests dressed to the nines, the highly personal touches and stunning florals (seriously, the bouquets – it’s giving!). Add in a Greenville staple like the Poinsett Club (the ballroom couldn’t be any more perfect for a black tie event!), gorgeous spring weather, and the sweetest couple, and you have Cody & Darcy’s wedding!
You’ll never meet two sweeter souls that genuinely love the people around them. The care and intentionality in how they planned their day didn’t go unnoticed – Darcy’s emotional first look with her 3 older brothers (cue the tears!), half of their wedding party members being family, to the Citadel sword arch exit from the ceremony, and Cody’s surprise vocal performance of L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole (wish we had a video of it to embed in this post alongside the photos – he nailed it and everyone could NOT stop smiling and cheering!)… it seemed like every part of their day celebrated something special about them, and that’s exactly how it should be. We wish all couples approached celebrating their day with the same focus as Cody & Darcy!
Let’s give a few things the spotlight (besides’s Cody’s amazing vocal talent – already mentioned that!). We obsessed over Darcy’s lace bolero that matched her veil perfectly. She was a vision head to toe! The lush florals by Katelyn Pinner Studio (especially those sweet peas – eeeekkk! They stole the show!) perfectly complemented the bride and her maids, and the impressive urns that framed the stage Steel Toe Stiletto performed on all evening slayed. You’re just going to have to scroll down to see more from their day. You don’t want to miss any of it!
Cody & Darcy, we can’t believe how quickly this year has flown by, bringing about the best celebration we think one could ask for. We’re so happy for you two and can’t wait to continue to see the wonderful things you all accomplish together in D.C. Cheers to a lifetime of love and joy! Enjoy your sneak peek!
