Alyssa’s Big Weakness: Shopping

Guys, I’m about to make a confession. And all I ask is that you please keep an open mind and a heart free of judgement. Judgement-free zone here, ok? Good. Ok. Here it goes…

Hi, my name is Alyssa.

(All together now) Hi Alyssa.

And I have an addiction.

It started out innocently enough. Growing up in a house of all girls (poor dad, even the dogs were girls) meant that there were an insurmountable amount of dolls, dressup clothes, hair products, and makeup. (Ryan clears throat) Oh yeah, and, umm, clothes, shopping excursions, and budget discussions. I was getting to that. So about those clothes… I got it honestly. And I learned from the best (thanks Mom!). But Dad did his due diligence and made sure I understood the ramifications of giving in to my addictions, then wished my husband the best of luck when Ryan asked to marry me. Just kidding. Kind of.

If you haven’t picked up on it already, I love shopping!!! It’s, dare I say it, one of my favorite things. Not just the actual purchasing, but the act of going shopping itself. Trying on styles, sampling a new fragrance, looking for new home decor. It’s fun. And relaxing. And…it can be expensive.  Because let’s admit it, purchasing all those things is fun too! Whether it’s candles, foaming hand soap, jewelry, or clothing, I love it! Especially if one lives close to 2 outlet centers that have a Jcrew, Banana Republic, Pottery Barn, and Michel Kors store. Ryan’s so lucky, you guys!
