Classic Downtown Huguenot Loft Wedding Zach & Alex | Greenville, SC

2 things happened at Zach & Alex’s wedding that we had never seen before.

We knew rain was coming. But rain may not be a strong enough word for what came from the sky. We were in the middle of photographing Alex and her beautiful bridesmaids when we all got caught in what can only be described as a monsoon! Thankfully we were already under a covered area since we knew the rain was coming our way. A problem quickly arose as it started to rain sideways (not all that strange for South Carolina)! That’s when we saw the second thing we had never seen before. We were too far from any buildings to be able to get inside. So Alex’s bridesmaids each grabbed one of our white umbrellas and formed a circular wall to protect Alex from the rain. It was an incredible moment of bridesmaids doing exactly what they are supposed to do: go above and beyond to make Alex’s day incredibly special!

That’s just a small instance that describes Alex, Zach and their people. Beautiful inside and out! Even with the monsoon weather, the changing timeline to accommodate the weather, and having to use hairdryers to dry out dresses and shoes, Zach and Alex, and their wedding party and family, never ever let those smiles fall from their faces. Joy seeped out of every corner of the day, and it was amazing to be a part of it!

Zach & Alex, we have loved you since we met you. We loved seeing how you responded to locking your keys in the car during your engagement session. We knew you two were made for each other. Hearing the beautiful speeches at your rehearsal dinner sealed it for us. And your wedding was perfectly you in every way. We know you two are going to do amazing things in life and we are looking forward to enjoying the journey with you! Here’s a little preview of that gorgeous wedding day. Enjoy it together!
