Furman University Spring Engagement Session Greenville, SC

Meet Cody & Darcy! These two have such a cute “how we met” story, but first, let’s chat about their engagement session. They wanted to have their session in downtown Greenville, and show off some of the blooms of early spring. The gorgeous campus of Furman University came to mind, and when we met up with them on campus, Darcy shared that she actually attended Furman and it was special to be able to do their engagement session on the stunning Furman University campus! And we’re so glad that spring showed up, the blooms showed off, and we have the most perfect weather for their engagement session!

Now, for their story! They both work in Washington, D.C., for South Carolina politicians, and met the summer of 2018 while interning! They were in the same office for that internship, and when they headed back to school (Cody to the Citadel, and Darcy to Furman), they dated long distance. Following graduation, work moved Cody to DC, and 2 years later, Darcy also moved to DC, where they currently work just a short walk away from each other. So it made sense, with the heart of America playing such a huge role in their relationship, that Cody ask Darcy to marry him there as well. Cody took Darcy to Martin’s Tavern (where they told me JFK proposed to Jackie! Awww!), and successfully faked her out while at dinner 😉 They then headed to the Tidal Basin, where Cody got down on one knee at the Jefferson Memorial, and ask Darcy to spend forever with him. She said yes! And both sets of parents were able to witness the big moment and celebrate with the two of them following the big moment. Cody did a fabulous job (just wait until you see her ring!) and we are so excited to be alongside them as they plan for their 2025 spring wedding in Greenville.
