Intimate Destination Summer Wedding in the Mountains Brian & Rachel | Greenville, SC

An intimate destination wedding, their ceremony hosted on top of the mountain showcasing the views of the greater Greenville area, and their reception celebration looking at the mountains that convinced Brian & Rachel to get married in South Carolina in the first place. They had no ties to South Carolina but fell in love with the views and picked the two venues to best show off Greenville – the Cliffs at Glassy Chapel and Hotel Domestique. The intimate settings of both allowed them to fully enjoy their guests and their day – we’re big fans of these close-knit celebrations!

So much of Brian & Rachel’s day was unique, and we can’t take up the entire blog post talking about them but we can show you! We loved how they involved all of their nieces and nephews, and honored their families during the ceremony. The seating chart with monogrammed golf balls sitting on personalized tees invited each guest to find their seat and their reception featured the Grone Games – darts, cornhole, and a miniature golf course for their friends and family to enjoy! We kind of want the mini golf course to live in our backyard now – it was such a hit! Rachel’s family is serious about their mini golf game, and Brian caddied for the LPGA for a few years, so the golf homage was both fun and true to them.

Can I quick mention a few showstoppers?! Besides the views, of course (doesn’t everyone want epic mountaintop portraits??). The cake needs its own moment. The sugar detailing work on the cake was unreal! And the half circle of flowers that surrounded Brian & Rachel during the ceremony was stunning. And that escort wall! That seating chart was a sight to behold, and all made by the bride herself! All in all, truly a beautiful day for these two newlyweds and we couldn’t be happier for them!
