The first time we met briefly met Justin & Courtney was in 2014 at Courtney’s sister’s engagement session! Fast forward to July of 2015 at Amy (Courtney’s sister) & Tyler’s wedding. It was a wonderful day and you can see it or relive it here, including a can’t-miss first look reaction from Tyler! Tyler & Amy have become so very special to us. They even agreed to a part of one of our favorite projects of all time, our testimonials video, and they absolutely crushed it (we are sure they wouldn’t want us to share that, but everyone needs to see it because they were amazing!)!!! But when we met Courtney (as well as the rest of Amy’s family), we fell in love and secretly hoped that someday we would get the chance to photograph Courtney’s wedding too! And that day finally came this past weekend.
We have sooo enjoyed getting to know Justin & Courtney better throughout their engagement, including a beautiful Furman University engagement session! Ryan has been able to go golfing with Justin several times (even though Justin is a huge Cardinals fan and Ryan is a Reds fan haha!) and has had such good times getting to know him better.
We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day last Saturday for their wedding in Monroe, NC. When you think December 16th, you think cold thoughts! And yes, it was slightly cool at 50 degrees. But the week before their wedding it was snowing, so we will take 50 degree weather all day long!!!
We try not to get too sappy when we tell about our couples, but this might be a little bit down that pathway. Hey! We’re wedding photographers. We love love! Here we go. Justin & Courtney have the kind of love that you can feel. It’s a fresh, new love that hasn’t been touched by the struggles of life. But at the same time, when you see Justin & Courtney together, they have a love that feels like a deep, storm-weathered love already. And while we know that its in fact a new, youthful love, we can’t help but feel that it’s incredibly real. And we know their love is grounded in a love for Jesus, which will allow it grow even deeper through the years. We can’t wait to see where marriage will take Justin & Courtney, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see them change the world!
Justin & Courtney, you guys are special. Courtney, you don’t have any more younger sisters, so we can’t count on another wedding to see you guys again! Let us know if there’s ever anything you guys need. Justin, Ryan will see you again on the links no doubt! We hope you will let us know if you ever need any help along the journey of marriage. You two have an incredible support system in your families. And we know you are going to do great things! For now, enjoy reliving your wedding day!
