Late Fall Proposal in the Heart of Downtown Greenville Greenville, SC

Let’s set the scene for a proposal… the quaint backdrop of downtown Greenville, framed by Falls Park and Liberty Bridge, with sunset quickly approaching. Nearby, the Christmas Markets by the Grand Bohemian have opened, and the bustle of the holiday season starts to come alive. Saxophones are serenading the crowd with Christmas music (it’s the last day of November, after all!). Temps are dropping, but it’s still a beautiful walk through the heart of downtown Greenville. You couldn’t ask for a better proposal setting than this, if you ask us. Then, up walks Peter and Sarah, all dressed up for a fancy dinner. Peter takes Sarah’s hand, and leads her down by the water. She hesitates, and turns to look at Peter. He leans over to say something to her and you see recognition, shock, and excitement cross her face. And Peter gets down on one knee, and asks her to marry him!

But it doesn’t end there. Peter didn’t just plan out a beautiful proposal; he also planned for their families to be there to surprise Sarah to celebrate! They had been hiding inside Between the Trees, just waiting for the right moment. After a few portraits in Falls Park (one of Peter & Sarah’s favorite spots!), we walked back up to the entrance to the park, and there, family waited to congratulate the couple. The look on Sarah’s face was priceless, and will forever be one of my favorite photos!
