When we met Nevin & Laura a long time ago for the first time shortly after they booked us, something happened that we will always remember.
We have been working on this wedding photography business for a long time. But we really turned on the afterburners when we quit our day jobs and went full-time 2 and a half years ago. And one of the huge aspects we really worked on was the magical notion of “finding our ideal couple.” We had a list of attributes ranging from surface-level things like “dog-lovers” and “Jcrew shoppers” to deeper qualities like “couples who exhibit joy” and “couples who see the importance of photography.” We were in search of that couple. Why was that so important? Because we knew that if we could start finding that couple, we would start finding more of that couple. And eventually, we would be working with brides and grooms just like us. Every weekend. Couples who cared about having a relationship with us. And that, we thought, would be a great reason to get out of bed and work hard every day, forever!
We will always remember our first meeting with Nevin & Laura together because, as they walked out of our house and we closed the door, it was the first time we really felt like we were working with “our couple.” We had done it! We had found a couple that wanted to build a relationship with us. We had found a couple that exhibited joy together! And on top of that, they dressed so nicely! It was perfect!
Since then, we have been blessed to find “our couple” more often than not and we get to work with amazing, joyful, loving people all the time! But we will always look back at that meeting with Nevin & Laura with fond memories!
And speaking of fond memories, their wedding day finally came and it was glorious!!! Laura designed the wedding around Tiffany Blue and she carried that theme to every single beautiful detail, including her Tiffany’s wedding band! And though it was 93 degrees with humidity you could swim through, no one cared! We were all so busy having a good time with Nevin & Laura! Their pure joy is evident in each image. And if that’s not enough joy for you, check out their engagement session here!
