Patrick & Alex Downtown Engagement Greenville, SC

We never get tired of hearing the “how we met” and “how he asked” stories, and we enjoyed listening to Alex share how Patrick popped the question! Here’s how it all went down:

Patrick & Alex had a weekend of camping and hiking planned at the beginning of October. Patrick made the trip up from Florida a little bit earlier than planned, to talk to Alex’s dad before he asked her to marry him. He then headed to Greenville to pick up Alex for a weekend of hiking with friends. Patrick didn’t have the exact moment planned out yet, so he carried the ring around in his pocket all weekend, waiting for the perfect moment. They camped out near Lake Jocassee, and the next day, Patrick & Alex hiked down to the waterfall. Patrick wanted to take a photo of the two of them together, so he tied his phone to a tree and got in place next to Alex. He had instead pushed the video record button, because it was finally the right moment!

Alex noticed the phone timer wasn’t blinking, and made a move to go fix it when Patrick made his move. He slipped down on one knee, and asked Alex to marry him!
