The moment of the night for us was the toasts at the reception at Avenue. All three toasts were spectacular, including a beautiful tribute by Brittany’s sister and a tremendous poem written by Brittany’s mother, Mary, delivered by her father. Ben’s brother, Greg, gave a hilarious and yet moving speech about how Ben, a police officer, and Brittany, a teacher, are two of the most serving people you can imagine. He said:
“I tell people that Ben Peacock is my brother. And they say, ‘Oh we know Officer Peacock! We love him!'”
It was touching to hear Ben’s brother talk about what a difference Ben makes in his community. He’s such an incredible man and we know he’s going to be the BEST husband for Brittany, who is quite the servant-leader herself. As a school teacher, she is constantly making an impact on little lives. Between the two of them, we know they are going to change the world!
We have so loved getting to know both of them throughout the wedding process. And though we experienced a little bit of rain after their ceremony at Daniel Chapel, it was such a perfect day!
