Winter Military Wedding in Historic Charleston Patrick & Ashley | Charleston, SC

As I watched Patrick spin his beautiful bride Ashley around the dance floor for the last dance, I felt my tears well up in my eyes, making it a little harder to see through the camera. Yes, it was a sweet moment to bear witness to their joy, their love, as their friends and family surrounded them. But it was more than that. Gratefulness. Overwhelming sense of love for this family. You see, this is our third wedding with the Daly family. We photographed Brittany and Ben tying the knot in February of 2018, then Caroline & Noah in August of 2022. Finally, we had the distinct honor of capturing memories for the Daly’s son, Patrick, and his new bride as well. The trifecta. The fact that this family chose us 3 times over is enough to bring us to our knees out of thankfulness. Grateful because families like the Dalys are why we choose to do what we do. We willingly choose the chaos. The stressful moments. The things that make most people double take when we tell them we photograph weddings for a living. Because we love weddings. What they stand for, what they represent. The lives we get to touch. The moments we capture. The invitation to lean hard into relationships with our couples and their families, navigating all of the joyful, fun, sometimes unexpected or difficult moments. We genuinely LOVE our people. Fiercely. And this family has our love 3 times over. Thank you, Dr and Mrs Daly, for choosing us to document these legacy moments for your children. We feel like an extension of your family, and it’s everything we could’ve asked for when we first envisioned this business.

Patrick & Ashley, we admire you two so much. The authenticity of your love is so sweet and pure. Every interaction with you has taken us back to those early years of young love. And your strength. Your marriage is going to face a lot with Patrick’s military career. That’s not a surprise to you. You two are embracing that challenge in your intentionality with the time you’ve been given, and we’re in awe. Know that we’re cheering you on and praying for you! We can’t wait to see what amazing things you two do, together!
