WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS IN LOVE

GREENVILLE, SC & BEYOND

Beautiful Rainy Blush Wyche Pavilion Wedding Woody & Ann Marie | Greenville, SC

Where do we even begin with Woody & Ann-Marie’s wedding day? Well, we begin with this: Woody & Ann-Marie’s wedding was one of the top 5 most rewarding weddings we have ever photographed.

It’s a bold statement, we know! We love our couples so much and we leave just about every single wedding feeling a huge sense of accomplishment and blessing. So to say that this wedding is in the top 5 in those feelings is pretty exciting!

So why was this wedding so rewarding? It’s a wedding we will always have so many amazing memories and stories from, but we’ll give you the short version.

First of all, let’s talk about the weather. Anyone who wants it to rain on your wedding day raise your hands. No? Didn’t think so! No one wants it to rain of course! We were devoutly watching the weather for Woody & Ann-Marie’s day and the weatherman said it was 85% chance of rain at 5pm, the start of their outdoor ceremony. Not ideal but not unprecedented! (Side note: It was Ann-Marie’s dream to walk down a grand set of outdoor stairs into her ceremony. We knew that. Keep that in mind.) Skip to 4:55pm. A very light mist was falling on and off. A decision needed to be made: Outdoor ceremony or move it indoors? We put our heads together with the coordinator and decided to give Ann-Marie this advice:

“Right now, rain is barely falling. If you walk down the steps right past your dream outdoor ceremony and into an indoor ceremony when it’s barely raining, you will always regret it. WE think you should go through with it come what may.”

And to Ann Marie’s credit, under a ton of stress, she decided to trust us and go with the original plan! Long story short, it decided to rain like crazy as the ceremony began. At first we felt terrible. As though we had given them the wrong advice. But as we saw the pure joy on the faces of Woody, their families and guests, & then on Ann-Marie as she walked down the aisle to huge cheers, we knew that, despite the rain, this was the beautiful ceremony they would never forget! We know that as soon as Ann-Marie sees these images, she will be so glad she trusted the people around her and went with her original plan!

On top of all of that, watching her guests break into spontaneous cheering as she walked down the aisle made us teary-eyed. Then seeing how much the important people on the front row were smiling from ear to ear under their umbrellas throughout the ceremony gave us all the feels! We loved seeing everyone come together to make Woody & Ann-Marie’s day perfectly memorable! We dare you to scroll through this blog post, and not get goosebumps or tear up at the absolute joy radiating from this day. Because we can’t!

Woody, Ann-Marie, we will never forget how special your wedding was! We hope and pray that, as you look through this little preview of the images from your day, you two will always remember that you are so loved by your family and friends. Your ceremony, despite the rain, was one of the most special ceremonies we have witnessed over the years! We love you both and we wish you the most joy and happiness that life can bring!
