Can’t Help Falling In Love

We tell stories for a living. We tell love stories for each and every one of our couples. We tell stories that last a lifetime! But now, we are going to tell a slightly different story: The Story Of Ryan & Alyssa. Obviously, we think this is the BEST love story of all time! We don’t want to forget it. And the best way to remember is to write it down! So follow along as we tell our story, one piece at a time!

It all started at a wedding.

When we first met, we were friends. The spark wasn’t there for a few years. But on January 8, 2011, everything changed.

Our dear friends Peter and Carolyn were set to get married. Alyssa was a bridesmaid. Ryan was playing his trumpet and singing (not at the same time!). To this day, we don’t know what caused the lightbulb to come on. Maybe it was how Alyssa looked in her purple dress she wore to the rehearsal dinner. Maybe it was the atmosphere of love. Maybe the perfect timing had just finally arrived. Maybe it was a mixture of everything together! But whatever it was that flipped the switch, the lightbulb was officially lit. For good!

Ryan acknowledges he was a little slow on the draw when it came to Alyssa. But he eventually came around and that’s all that matters, right?! We started dating shortly after Peter & Carolyn’s wedding, finished out our senior year of college 3 months later!

As you know, the story goes on, but this is one of our favorite parts. Why? Because, in this portion more than any other, we can see that Someone much wiser than we could ever be had a plan. A perfect plan. We know that our relationship and our marriage were meant to be for a reason. Our dating relationship began at a wedding. Now we spend our lives together at weddings all year long! We get to be a part of something every day that is so special to our marriage. Nothing could be a better fit for us!
