Dreams Playa Mujeres Destination Wedding in Cancun Mexico Tate & Kylee | Cancun, Mexico

It was the largest destination wedding the Dreams Playa Mujeres resort in Cancun had ever seen. Over 200 people came from all over the US to celebrate with Tate & Kylee and it was an incredible weekend!! A destination wedding in a tropical paradise is always a good idea. Taking your friends and family with you for an extended weekend away in the sun and sand is a decision you’ll never regret. It just hits different – destination weddings, in our opinion, tend to have a tighter knit group, emotions run higher, the party never stops, and the love for the couple is tangible. That’s exactly what it was for Tate & Kylee!

We actually didn’t meet these two until we arrived in Mexico! Though we had many, many zoom calls and emails planning for their wedding celebration in Cancun. They originally found us via Instagram, when we shared the last wedding we photographed in Mexico – the power of social media! (A little shout out for anyone thinking of having a destination wedding – yes, do it, and yes, ask us to come with you! Passports are ready!)

We started the day in the wedding suite with Kylee and her girls, which hosted some of the best views of the resort! After ensuring Tate was ready (in a rival suite of his own right on the water), we headed to their first look, where there may or may not have been some tears. Tate & Kylee braved the heat and humidity to explore various parts of the resort with us and let us tell you – it was worth it! Just scroll down to see!

Tate & Kylee hosted a beautiful garden ceremony with views looking out to the ocean, with cocktail hour following in the same space. While their guests mingled, we snuck down to the beach for some husband and wife portraits and ahhhh that light! You’d never know the rain storm that was coming the next day haha! Everyone transitioned into the ballroom for an epic dance party to celebrate the evening. It was a full but incredible day!

Tate & Kylee, there are so many incredible moments from your day. And a lot of emotions, too 🙂 Thank you for inviting us into this special time in your lives.
