Hurricane Matthew was bearing down on the Eastern coast. We knew he was coming. Sometime. And we also knew Matthew (no relation) & Lauren’s engagement session was coming!
Friday came. The weather said 40% chance of rain. A little bit too high for our comfort level. We never want our couples to get all dressed up and psyched up only to get rained out at the lest second. So we started to cancel the session. But then it changed to 30%. Right on the line between “we don’t want to get rained out after all of that preparation” and “we don’t want to wish we had gone through with it if it doesn’t rain!” We decided to go ahead and try to make it happen. Matt & Lauren came all the way from Nashville. We really had to give it a shot, right?!
If we could’ve wished for any couple to follow our lead, pose like models and get this session in before hurricane Matthew (not to be confused with groom Matthew!) hit us, it was Matthew & Lauren! And they did just that!
Hurricane Matthew didn’t show up until the last few minutes, but it made for some fun rain photos anyway!
Matt & Lauren, thank you guys for trusting us to make this session happen! Thank you for being awesome and making it easy for us to have a great time and still get the job done quickly! Thank you for braving the rain and having the best time even when it did start to pour on you two! We think you’ll agree it was totally worth every second! Enjoy this little preview!
